They come from below

Bacon and the gang getting a tan
So for anyone who doesn't know that image how's Kevin Bacon and some friends getting a tan on a rock, oh and their trying to survive an attack from below. Yes it's tremors. Maybe not the best film as my first review, but it is however the most recent in a long line of films I have watched.
I watched the four films in about two days, I know it sounds bad but I have just found myself with some free time and it has been on my list for a long time...
Right so down to the actual review

Kevin Bacon stars in the first of a line of dodgy films, the "graboidz" as they are so aptly named, come from the ground to eat whatever's making a sound, ok believable for about 2 seconds.
The special effects and movie make up we're lacking in this film making the graboidz look almost comical and not inspiring any amount of fear within me. The entire script could have been better written and more action/ death scenes wouldn't have hurt the film either.

It's not all bad however, as the actual acting isn't terrible and I believe the storyline to be a fairly good one. I would have loved this film to have been taken up a notch as it has all the makings of a good watch.

So the first film leads a bit to be desired but when realising it for what it is, a daft popcorn movie, you can really get down an enjoy it with the whole family.

The end was not nigh!
This film generated two sequels the first, aftershocks, sees the graboidz evolve and hail a new shit storm onto two of the original cast plus some new characters to play with. A bit more daft but still an ok watch if u don't mind the sequel curse. The second sequel, back to perfection, obviously takes place where the first was set and takes the creatures to a new level o idiocy, seeing the old characters minus 2 suffering another evolved form of the graboidz and again is alright to watch, if your already in the swing of watching the series.

It also brought about a prequel, the legend begins, set in the wild west. This did not really explain too much of what the graboidz actually where and I felt a little let down after watching it.

The series also brought forth a tv show which I have not yet had a look at... And to be honest it's unlikely that I will.

I'd give the first film 7.5/10 and the rest get lower and lower as they go on. Good choice by Bacon to not return for the sequels.
